welcoming hosts

beautiful property

perfectly situated for exploring salida and enjoying nature walks

the hosts were incredibly welcoming and made sure our dietary needs were met with a delicious breakfast. The property is conveniently close to Droney Gulch, offering beautiful trails to explore right from the doorstep.

My stay at Mountain Goat Lodge was delightful! Gina and D’arcy were wonderful hosts, offering amazing homemade breakfasts featuring fresh ingredients from their farm. The clean rooms had comfortable beds and breathtaking views of the Sawatch Range, making it an idyllic retreat.

The highs and the lows

The views from the Shavano Room were breathtaking and the hosts truly made you feel at home with their warm hospitality. The off-leash area for dogs and animal interactions enriched the stay.

The parking areas felt a bit cramped during peak times which could be inconvenient when many guests were around.

Our large family had an amazing stay, especially the grandkids who loved interacting with the friendly goats! The setting was picturesque, and we even enjoyed a breathtaking jeep tour through the spectacular mountain views nearby. The homemade breakfast was a true highlight, made with fresh ingredients and served in a cozy atmosphere.

In my wife’s opinion, more family activities would be great.
